The IDS is a leading global institution for development research, teaching and knowledge management services.
We are seeking to appoint a Fellow to join our multi-disciplinary Environment Group, and take forward its rapidly expanding research and policy work on climate change. Applications are invited from outstanding social scientists who can strengthen the Group's capacity in innovative, policy-relevant research by contributing expertise in areas such as multilateral environmental regimes, environmental law and policy, global political economy, international relations, international risk and disaster management, or vulnerability.

Candidates should normally have a PhD, be able to demonstrate both conceptual and applied skills, and be committed to non-hierarchical, team-based styles of work involving international partners.

Salary: £27K to £50K p.a. depending on qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
